evening's talking points memo. now we've heard a lot of happy talk from the obama administration about how the economy is picking up, and today's anemic job numbers paint a far gloomier picture. one of the unemployment rate fell to 9%, this is merely cosmetic. as economists noted today, the drop is mostly due to a slow down in layoffs, not any significant pick up in hiring. payrolls added only 36,000 employees nationwide. to give you a cents of how bad this is, economists say in order to makeup for the 7.7 million jobs lost, we need to add 214,000 jobs a month. not 36,000. for next three years. think of it another way according to forbes magazine check this out. the u.s. labor market started 2011 with half a million jobs, fewer than it had 11 years ago. the labor force has grown since then by nearly 11 million workers. it's staggering. the president's economic plan, the bailouts, more big government stuff. failed. but don't worry. john mccain thinks the president is getting the message. >> i think it's clear that the president is really to a more sen trift position which i think makes
